Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nobu Yoshioka (ranked 2720 p4p, 6503 weight class) and Dokuro Kunimatsu (ranked 320 p4p, 612 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kunimatsu moves in looking to clinch but Yoshioka pushes him off.
Yoshioka avoids the body shot from Kunimatsu.
A slow jab from Yoshioka misses its intended target.
A cross from Yoshioka lands.

It looks like Dokuro Kunimatsu has been cut.
Kunimatsu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Yoshioka swats away the attempt to clinch by Kunimatsu.
Yoshioka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Yoshioka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Kunimatsu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yoshioka cracks Kunimatsu with a nice body shot.
Yoshioka lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kunimatsu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Yoshioka.
Kunimatsu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kunimatsu tries to pull guard but Yoshioka holds him up against the cage and eventually Kunimatsu drops back down to his feet.
Yoshioka lands a shot to the body.
Yoshioka misses with some punches.
Yoshioka pushes Kunimatsu back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kunimatsu is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Yoshioka to keep the fight standing.
Nobu Yoshioka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dokuro Kunimatsu.

Yoshioka lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kunimatsu backwards.

Yoshioka works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Yoshioka lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Yoshioka lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Yoshioka lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kunimatsu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yoshioka just stands there and leans against the cage.
Yoshioka digs a right hand underneath Kunimatsu's ribcage. Kunimatsu let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Kunimatsu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yoshioka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kunimatsu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yoshioka tries to free his leg and advance position but Kunimatsu is retaining full guard.
Yoshioka would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kunimatsu closes the distance and pushes Yoshioka back into the cage.

Kunimatsu jumps guard and drags Yoshioka to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Yoshioka wants to stand but Kunimatsu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Kunimatsu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yoshioka is aware though and is defending well.

Yoshioka wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Kunimatsu's closed guard. He's half up but Kunimatsu has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Kunimatsu pivots and extends the arm, Yoshioka falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Kunimatsu! Well done that man!
