Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yamasaki Mishimoto (ranked 3753 p4p, 4119 weight class) and Petr Vrabec (ranked 368 p4p, 390 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yamasaki Mishimoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Petr Vrabec!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mishimoto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mishimoto throws a sloppy head kick and Vrabec moves out of range easily.
Vrabec tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mishimoto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vrabec somewhat.
Vrabec looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mishimoto is looking to clinch.
Vrabec looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mishimoto is fending him off so far but Vrabec persists. Nope, Mishimoto circles away and we're back to standing.
Mishimoto thuds a left hand into Vrabec's body.

Vrabec closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Vrabec is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mishimoto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mishimoto slaps away a takedown attempt from Vrabec, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yamasaki Mishimoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petr Vrabec.

Vrabec shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mishimoto but Mishimoto pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horrible takedown attempt by Vrabec or perhaps it was just good defense by Mishimoto, which made it look bad.
Mishimoto bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vrabec's head backwards.
Mishimoto scores with a head kick. Vrabec tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Yamasaki Mishimoto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Donk. Mishimoto catches Vrabec right on the button with a cross.

Vrabec is rocked!

Vrabec fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mishimoto to the ground. Vrabec is now in Mishimoto's guard.
Mishimoto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vrabec on the ground.
Vrabec won't allow Mishimoto to get back to his feet.

Vrabec is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mishimoto is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mishimoto has escaped and now he's on top!

Vrabec isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mishimoto stacks Vrabec on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mishimoto!

Vrabec decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yamasaki Mishimoto will probably get the nod.

Vrabec is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mishimoto is just riding it out for now. Vrabec eventually gives up the hold.

Vrabec fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mishimoto avoids it really well and circles away.

Mishimoto throws out a leg kick but Vrabec moves out of range and Mishimoto only half commits.

Mishimoto gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vrabec to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vrabec drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mishimoto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mishimoto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mishimoto!
