And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 30 wins and 32 losses; Vito Mazzini!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Mazzini tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mazzini has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mazzini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mazzini is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Gracie has his hands clasped together but Mazzini extends and breaks Gracie's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mazzini.
