PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dosh Oh (ranked 1826 p4p, 4163 weight class) and Ruud Altena (ranked 225 p4p, 458 weight class). Altena comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Grontapu by Double Rock kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ruud Altena will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oh swinging wildly here.
Altena lands a leg kick that knocks Oh off balance momentarily.
Altena defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Oh.

Oh shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Altena manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Oh keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Oh fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Knees to the body from Altena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Dosh Oh has been cut.
Altena crunches a lovely knee into Oh's ribcage.

Oh swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Altena slowing the pace effectively.
Altena lands a right hand that snaps the head of Oh backwards.

A right hook to the body lands for Oh.
Altena unloads a knee to the mid-section. Oh lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Oh is breathing heavily.
Oh takes a knee right on the jaw!
Altena lands with a short shot to the head.

Oh is rocked!
Altena pushes Oh back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Oh Oh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
