Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Barnes (ranked 5030 p4p, 4104 weight class) and Kuroda Atsushi (ranked 277 p4p, 238 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kuroda Atsushi!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atsushi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnes manages to avoid it.
Atsushi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Barnes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Atsushi was covering up waiting for the punch and Barnes finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Atsushi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barnes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barnes postures up and lands a big shot to Atsushi's brow.
Barnes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Atsushi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've been hearing that Barnes has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Atsushi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Atsushi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barnes defends it easily.

Barnes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Atsushi's head.
Barnes postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Barnes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Atsushi has control of Barnes's left arm, preventing Barnes from doing any damage.
