The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smart drives through and clinches with Bentham against the cage.

Smart goes for a takedown attempt but Bentham pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smart has hold of one of Bentham's legs. Bentham is fighting the takedown attempt but Smart gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Smart postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bentham is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Smart, into his guard.

Smart avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Bentham decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Smart appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bentham lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Bentham connects with a jab.
Smart wants to clinch up but Bentham keeps it at a distance.
Bentham takes a swing at Smart's ribcage but misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bentham, as that shot connected.

Bentham waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Smart.
Smart bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smart avoids a kick to the body.
Smart gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bentham tries to land a front kick but Smart steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smart shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Smart is rocked!
Bentham drops Smart with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smart! Bentham dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremy Bentham!
Jeremy Bentham decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
