Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre King (ranked 1889 p4p, 4325 weight class) and Brandon Fisher (ranked 274 p4p, 546 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

King bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

King tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fisher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
King throws a leg kick but Fisher checks it.

Fisher lands a straight punch to the body, keeping King at a distance.

Fisher might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

King walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fisher checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A left and a right from Fisher both land. Nice combination.

King throws the kick towards the body but Fisher avoids it.
Fisher throws a jab but it's blocked by King.
King throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fisher avoids it.

Fisher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent King stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fisher is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by King.
King is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
King doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fisher counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Fisher has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
