Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mfer Phol (ranked 1742 p4p, 2554 weight class) and JD Drake (ranked 55 p4p, 80 weight class). Drake comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Born in the USA by - Bruce Springstein kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mfer Phol has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Phol. Drake does a little dance to reset his feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Drake misses.
Drake looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Phol throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Phol ducks under a wild hook from Drake.

Phol breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Drake bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Phol's head.
Drake swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Phol takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Mfer Phol has been cut.

Drake swings wildly with an uppercut but Phol uses good head movement to avoid it.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Phol will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Drake up against the cage.

Phol makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mfer Phol dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Phol walks into a stiff left hand from Drake.
Drake just misses with a punch to the body.
Phol loads up on a big right hand but Drake slips the punch.
A little jabbing left from Drake on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Phol's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Drake connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Phol scrambles back to his feet.

The fighters circling - Drake throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Phol uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Drake has time to react.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Phol takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Phol counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Drake tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Phol was well out of range. Poor timing from Drake.
Phol is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Drake walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Phol drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Drake swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Phol's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

After winning the bout, JD Drake thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
