The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leahy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hall swivels and escapes.

Hall is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Leahy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Leahy shoots in looking for a takedown. Hall tries to sprawl out of it but Leahy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Leahy shoots in and bounces Hall off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Leahy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hall does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hall kicks Leahy off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hall darts in and clinches Leahy up against the cage.

Leahy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hall fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Leahy shoots in and drives through. Hall sprawls well.
Robert Leahy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall leaves Leahy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Hall counters with a head kick that drops Leahy!
