Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre Bernard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sky Genie!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bernard drives through and clinches with Genie against the cage.
Bernard prevents Genie from breaking the clinch.
Bernard blocks an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Genie.

Bernard is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Genie can't fight it off and eventually Bernard manages to take the fight to the floor. Genie looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bernard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bernard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Genie wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Genie thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Genie wants to sweep here but Bernard controlling him for the moment.
Genie throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bernard won't allow Genie to sweep him here.

Bernard stands and steps away. Genie gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Genie tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Bernard counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Genie thinking.

Bernard moves into the clinch successfully.
Bernard blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Genie tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Bernard has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Genie uses from the top position.

Bernard is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Genie has his hands clasped together but Bernard extends and breaks Genie's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bernard.
