A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sampaio is defended easily by Dredd.

Sampaio gets caught flat footed, as Dredd shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Dredd drops back looking for a leg! Sampaio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sampaio manages to kick Dredd off! Dredd jumps back into Sampaio's guard.
Dredd passes Sampaio's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dredd uses his free foot to push down on Sampaio's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sampaio.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
