Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Victor Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Robertson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Robertson is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Robertson circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Robertson has time to react.

Robertson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Robertson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Robertson is trying to work for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Robertson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Robertson's back!

Robertson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jones gets his way!
Robertson is trying to get back to his feet but Jones has full control of the position and if anything, Robertson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Robertson has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Robertson has hold of Jones's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jones tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Robertson cranks the arm and Jones screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jones, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
