Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie IV (ranked 1128 p4p, 1733 weight class) and Cezar Bononi (ranked 169 p4p, 258 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bononi's choice of entrance music: Bloody Roots by- SEPULTURA. Charlie IV could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cezar Bononi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charlie IV!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cezar Bononi!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
IV avoids the body shot from Bononi.
IV throws a series of punches but Bononi avoids them all with ease.
Bononi now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Bononi with a jab.

It looks like Charlie IV has been cut.
Bononi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
IV bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
IV moves out of range of the strikes.
Bononi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bononi scores with a decent looking hook.
Bononi looks to land a right hand but IV moved out of range.
IV clobbers Bononi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bononi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by IV.
Bononi misses with a looping left.
IV comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bononi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from IV.
A jab from IV does it's job there.
Bononi throws a lazy right hand but IV sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
IV swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Bononi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bononi on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Charlie IV seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bononi throws a hook but IV avoids it easily.
Bononi misses the shot to the body.
IV tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bononi defends well and IV ends up having to push Bononi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bononi is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bononi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bononi throws a punch but it's blocked by IV.
IV misses with a hook from the clinch.

IV escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

IV gets a double leg takedown into Bononi's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been hearing that IV has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
IV makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Bononi takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
IV lands an elbow.

Bononi is still in real trouble! Can IV finish him?
IV cracks Bononi with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! IV immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bononi is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by IV!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie IV!
After the fight, Charlie IV was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Cezar Bononi stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm too beautiful for this'.
