Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald loads up on a big right hand but Skelly slips the punch.
McDonald jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McDonald throws a right hand that Skelly ducks under and follows up with a left that Skelly also avoids with ease.
Skelly tries for a takedown but McDonald circles away easily
and McDonald counters with a stiff right hand.
Skelly swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bill Skelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Skelly moves into the clinch.
McDonald just leaning against Skelly, taking a breather.
Skelly wants to stall.
A right hand to the body from McDonald.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Skelly tries to pull guard but McDonald holds him up against the cage and eventually Skelly drops back down to his feet.

Skelly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McDonald pinned against the cage. McDonald gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Skelly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDonald's waist but McDonald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Skelly off to one side.
We've been informed that McDonald has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Skelly moves into the clinch successfully.
McDonald lands an uppercut.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Skelly shoots for a takedown but McDonald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McDonald lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
McDonald uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Skelly.
McDonald connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Skelly's hands.

Skelly shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McDonald is trying to defend but Skelly finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

McDonald has one foot on Skelly's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Skelly misses with a low kick as McDonald jumps back.

and McDonald counters with a huge left! Skelly is in big trouble! He's backing up but McDonald isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Skelly from any more damage. A dominating finish by McDonald!
