PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Knee Bender (ranked 5124 p4p, 6831 weight class) and Alexander Igor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Igor!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Igor closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bender counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Igor drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Alexander Igor has been cut.
Igor takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Igor fails with a takedown attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Bender on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Igor walks into a stiff left hand from Bender.
Igor throws a wild body kick that Bender sees coming a mile off.
Bender swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Igor throws a shot from downtown. Bender moves away and avoids it.
Igor looks for the body kick but Bender saw that one coming.
Igor misses with a takedown
and Bender cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bender scores with a decent looking hook.
Igor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bender as he avoids it easily.
Knee Bender has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Igor.
Bender tests Igor's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Igor takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bender moves out of range as Igor strikes.
Igor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Igor gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bender.

Bender scores with a jab to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circle momentarily. Bender darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That has opened up Alexander Igor's cut even more.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Igor.
Igor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bender counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Igor throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bender is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Igor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bender sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Igor somewhat.
Bender appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Bender fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Igor on the side of the head.

Igor throws a lazy right hand but Bender sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bender throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bender works Igor's body with a nice hook.
Igor looks winded!
Bender lands a jab to the head.
Bender scores with a jab. Igor acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

The cut above Alexander Igor's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Igor walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Igor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bender counters with a stiff right hand.

Igor is rocked!
Bender is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Bender lands a jab to the nose.

Alexander Igor's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Igor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bender lands a big right hand that sends Igor crashing to the mat! Bender stays standing though and waves Igor back to his feet!
Igor is still on wobbly legs! Can Bender finish him?
Igor misses with a two punch combination.
Igor seems to have recovered his senses.
Bender scores with a body shot.
Igor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bender circles away.
A jab from Bender finds it's way through Igor's defenses.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alexander Igor's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
