The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick misses with a takedown attempt
and Krusse counters with a left to the body.
Dick shoots in looking for a takedown. Krusse tries to sprawl out of it but Dick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krusse manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Krusse counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Krusse unleashes a big counter combination but Dick bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and Krusse counters with a crisp one two that drops Dick! Krusse thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dick to his feet! Dick is in big trouble!

Krusse unleashes a big counter combination but Dick bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Dick closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Krusse to the mat! Krusse manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Krusse is adopting a defensive guard.
Krusse looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dick is one step ahead there.
Dick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Krusse avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Krusse wants to sweep here but Dick controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dick fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Krusse lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dick shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krusse as he avoids it easily.
Despite the aggression on Krusse's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Krusse counters with a nice right hand that sends Dick toppling to the canvas! Dick scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Krusse finish him?!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Krusse counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Dick off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Krusse follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Dick was out before he hit the floor.
