Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Hall (ranked 3178 p4p, 3428 weight class) and Bronx Brooks (ranked 197 p4p, 205 weight class). Bronx Brooks is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robbie Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bronx Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hall rushes Brooks and presses him up against the cage.

Hall ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hall no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Brooks wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving.
Hall pulls Brooks in close to prevent any damage.

Hall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brooks defends well.
Hall looking for a sweep. Not yet Hall, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall is pulling down on Brooks's head. It's preventing any offense from Brooks, at least for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brooks wants to pass the guard but Hall is keeping the position.
Hall controlling the position.
Brooks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hall throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Brooks looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Hall pushes Brooks up against the cage in a clinch.
Hall working aggressively here.
Brooks managing to block the knees to the body from Hall.
Hall taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Hall manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Brooks preventing the sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall keeping full guard, as Brooks tries to pass.
Brooks trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hall has Brooks pulled in close to control his posture.

Brooks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brooks wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brooks swings widly with a right hand

and Hall moves into the clinch.

Hall pulls guard effortlessly.
Hall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brooks is one step ahead there.
Brooks looking to sit in guard and control but Hall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Brooks throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hall escapes and throws Brooks's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hall gets to mount! Brooks was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Robbie Hall dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Brooks throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Hall moves into the clinch.

Brooks drags the fight down to the ground.

Brooks working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hall has passed into half guard!
Hall looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Hall definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brooks is defending against the submission attempts here by Hall.

Hall controlling the action here.
Brooks tries to roll over but Hall keeps him under control.
Hall wants to pass the guard but Brooks is defending well.
Hall content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Hall wants to pass the guard but Brooks is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brooks is trying to get back to full guard.
Hall tries to pass to full mount but Brooks defends it.
Hall is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Brooks!

Hall manages to capitalize on a mistake by Brooks to take his back!
We've been informed that Brooks has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Brooks tries to escape the position.

Hall is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
I would not like to be Brooks right now.
Brooks tries to escape but Hall has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Brooks is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hall.

Hall has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Brooks! Can he survive? No! He's out! Hall gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Robbie Hall!
An out of breath Robbie Hall thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
