Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sunil Ganga (ranked 2687 p4p, 5540 weight class) and Jerrold Orosco (ranked 325 p4p, 570 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sunil Ganga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerrold Orosco!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orosco tests Ganga's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Orosco jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Orosco has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ganga has a takedown stuffed.
Ganga lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Orosco circles away quickly and effectively.

Ganga moves into range and clinches up with Orosco.
Orosco looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Ganga pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Orosco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ganga is on top in guard.

Ganga tries to stall but Orosco uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Ganga avoids the elbow strike from Orosco, against the cage.
Ganga has Orosco pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Orosco manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sunil Ganga. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ganga has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Orosco after a bit of a struggle.

Ganga is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ganga is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ganga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Orosco doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ganga is tightening it up a little... Orosco has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Orosco reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Orosco taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ganga!
