The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cormier has Wilson up against the cage in a clinch.
Wilson misses with some punches.
Cormier blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Wilson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cormier's elbow.
Wilson tries a body shot but Cormier blocks it.
Cormier blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Cormier has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wilson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Cormier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wilson scores with a head kick. Cormier tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wilson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cormier shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wilson's guard.

Wilson is trying to stand up here but Cormier is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cormier drops an elbow to the side of Wilson's head.
Cormier frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cormier lands a big shot there that rocks Wilson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
