The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sitsongrit gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

I was talking to Sitsongrit's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Sitsongrit makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Yodsingkhun Sitsongrit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jubei Akechi.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Akechi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sitsongrit uses from the top position.

Sitsongrit is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Akechi has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sitsongrit is looking to defend but Akechi has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sitsongrit! Akechi pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sitsongrit taps out and this one is all over!
