The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiaodong bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Xiaodong throwing a counter right hand but Ernesto manages to avoid it.
Ernesto is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
El Pablo Ernesto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Ernesto.
Xiaodong with a nice cross.
Ernesto fails in his attempt to clinch.
Xiaodong loads up on a big right hand but Ernesto slips the punch.
Ernesto is looking for the big counter here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xiaodong feints a jab promting Ernesto to slip. Xiaodong then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ernesto slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Xiaodong takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ernesto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Xiaodong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
