Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BC Smith (ranked 1958 p4p, 1234 weight class) and Ziggy King (ranked 262 p4p, 173 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that BC Smith has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily BC Smith seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have King scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Smith land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Smith stands and salutes the crowd.
