Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Semba Rua (ranked 3318 p4p, 2917 weight class) and Desmond Bright (ranked 415 p4p, 375 weight class). Bright has chosen Bon Jovi - Wanted Dead Or Alive as his entrance music. Semba Rua had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Semba Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desmond Bright!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bright instigates a clinch.
Bright lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rua backwards.
Rua blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Rua decides to pull guard.

Rua working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bright doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bright manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rua utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bright postures up and lands a big shot to Rua's brow.
Rua wants to sweep here but Bright controlling him for the moment.

Bright has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rua to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bright is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rua pulls down on the head and he's put Bright to sleep! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Semba Rua thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
