PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Dashark (ranked 4792 p4p, 3842 weight class) and Wilson Fisk (ranked 162 p4p, 127 weight class). Dashark kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Big shark by BEACH BOYS. Wilson Fisk will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dashark.

Dashark decides to stand back up.
Fisk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dashark.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dashark or perhaps it was just good defense by Fisk, which made it look bad.
Dashark tries a head kick but it misses.
Wilson Fisk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fisk throws a lazy right hand but Dashark sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dashark appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dashark closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fisk circles away.
Dashark moves forwards but Fisk connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Mark Dashark has been cut.
Dashark moves away from the strike by Fisk.
Dashark motions for Fisk to come forward. Dashark throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Fisk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dashark manages to avoid it.
Dashark takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice jab there from Fisk.
Dashark fails in his attempt to clinch.

Fisk cracks Dashark with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dashark looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Fisk finish him?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fisk finds Dashark's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Dashark flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Fisk lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Dashark will be OK.
