Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Tomoguchi (ranked 2317 p4p, 1153 weight class) and Johnny Billabong (ranked 290 p4p, 153 weight class). Billabong is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Waltzing Matilda. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Johnny Billabong enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Billabong!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billabong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tomoguchi manages to avoid it.

Billabong looks to throw the jab but Tomoguchi is out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Billabong connects with a nice short shot to Tomoguchi's temple.

Billabong is trying to control the action in half guard but Tomoguchi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tomoguchi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Billabong on the ground.
Billabong drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Billabong seems to have locked his on tight now - Tomoguchi screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Billabong, as he picks up the win!
