Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonathan Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 37 - 1, fighting out of New York, Juanito Cortez!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a right and a left that Cortez avoids nicely.
Cortez looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Davis throws a nice inside leg kick.
Cortez takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cortez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Davis.
Cortez tries a low kick but Davis avoids it.
Davis misses with a low kick.
Cortez tries a low kick but Davis avoids it.
Davis tries to move into range but Cortez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Cortez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Davis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Davis blocks a low kick nicely.
Cortez throws an overhand right that lands on Davis's shoulder, as Davis tries to avoid the shot.
Davis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Davis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cortez under the eye.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good exchange - Davis coming out on top.
Cortez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Davis looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Davis clips Cortez with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Cortez a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Davis throws a nice looking combination but Cortez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cortez misses with a leg kick
and Davis counters with a nice body shot.
Davis lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cortez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Cortez is rocked!
Cortez tries to land a leg kick but Davis saw it coming and moves away.
Cortez is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him?
Cortez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davis.
Cortez misses with a low kick.
Cortez seems to have recovered his senses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cortez throws a body punch but Davis moves out of range.
Cortez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Cortez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cortez walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Cortez is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jonathan Davis!
In his post fight interview, Jonathan Davis started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Juanito Cortez stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well...shit happens....i will b back!'.
