OMalley comes into the arena with Tekashi 6ix9ine - Tati blaring out of the sound system. Devin Brown is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devin Brown!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OMalley blocks a head kick by Brown.

and OMalley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
OMalley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with OMalley in particular looking to stall.
Brown pushes OMalley off looking to stand but OMalley dives back in and keeps control.
OMalley scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. OMalley connects with a nice short shot to Brown's temple.
OMalley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
OMalley winds up and cracks Brown with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
OMalley content to control rather than advance.
OMalley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
OMalley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
OMalley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
OMalley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
OMalley working over Brown with some ground and pound. Brown looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
We've been hearing good reports from OMalley's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

OMalley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
OMalley lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Brown quite badly. Brown pulls OMalley in close trying to recover. OMalley postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Brown on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Brown doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael OMalley!
During a confident post fight interview, Michael OMalley thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
