Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bugsy Seigel (ranked 1786 p4p, 1230 weight class) and Eddie McDermott (ranked 235 p4p, 168 weight class). McDermott has chosen I'm Shipping up to Boston as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bugsy Seigel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie McDermott!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermott swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Seigel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McDermott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Seigel.
McDermott misses with a right hand
and Seigel makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. McDermott really felt that one!
McDermott throws a hook to the side of Seigel's head but Seigel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McDermott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Seigel.
Seigel takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McDermott throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McDermott throws a right and a left that both miss.
Seigel lands with a hook. McDermott tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Seigel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Donk. McDermott catches Seigel right on the button with a cross.

McDermott scores with a sloppy right hand. Seigel should have avoided that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A little feinted left hand from Seigel on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Seigel lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Seigel lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McDermott backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A relieved looking Bugsy Seigel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
