The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malachi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Thibodeaux wants to clinch.
Malachi throws a big counter combination but Thibodeaux scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Thibodeaux takes one on the button.
Thibodeaux tries to clinch but Malachi moves away
and Malachi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Malachi - that will leave a mark!
Malachi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Malachi lands with a straight right. Thibodeaux didn't see that one coming.
Thibodeaux tries to clinch up
and Malachi counters with a right hand to the body.
Thibodeaux wants to clinch.
Malachi connects with a leg kick.
Thibodeaux forces Malachi back against the cage and clinches.

Thibodeaux decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malachi wants to control from the top but Thibodeaux keeps moving.
Malachi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Malachi is sitting in close to Thibodeaux's body. Thibodeaux has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Malachi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Malachi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Thibodeaux.
