The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro takes a swing at Szymanski's ribcage but misses.
Szymanski tries to counter by closing the distance.
Ribeiro is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Szymanski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Szymanski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ribeiro stalks Szymanski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Szymanski's face. Szymanski staggers backwards, shaken.
Ribeiro connects with a combination that backs up Szymanski into the cage. Ribeiro lands a flurry of punches that gets past Szymanski's guard. Szymanski is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Ribeiro bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
