PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Smoke (ranked 1186 p4p, 536 weight class) and Everest Frank (ranked 30 p4p, 14 weight class). Smoke's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Big Smoke's Order. Frank has chosen Knife Talk x Drake ft. 21 Savage x Project Pat as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Smoke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Everest Frank!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Hemmingworth and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank throws a sloppy head kick and Smoke moves out of range easily.
As Frank tries to get set, Smoke tries to push him back and clinch up but Frank manages to avoid the attempt.
Frank throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smoke's waist but Smoke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frank off to one side.
A quick step to the side and Smoke tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Frank has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Frank tries for a takedown but Smoke circles away easily
and Smoke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Everest Frank has been cut.
Smoke scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Frank uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smoke.
Frank changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Smoke seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Frank gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Smoke counters with a crisp one two that drops Frank! Smoke thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Frank to his feet! Frank is in big trouble!
Big Smoke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Everest Frank.
Frank throws out a powerful jab.
Smoke lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Frank up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Smoke from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Frank's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Big Smoke!
