Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Milo Andrianakis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Costa!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa moves in looking to clinch but Andrianakis pushes him off.
Andrianakis throws a hook to the side of Costa's head but Costa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Andrianakis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Costa.
Costa shoots for a takedown but Andrianakis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Andrianakis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Costa has time to react.
Andrianakis misses with a looping right.

Costa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Andrianakis makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Costa breaks from the clinch.
Costa tries to clinch
and Andrianakis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Costa has closed the distance and engaged Andrianakis in a clinch.
Costa blocks an elbow strike from Andrianakis.
Andrianakis blocks a body shot from Costa.
Andrianakis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Costa is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Andrianakis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Costa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Andrianakis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Costa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Andrianakis thinking.
Costa closes the distance looking to clinch
and Costa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Costa avoids the body shot from Andrianakis.
Costa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Costa throws a body punch but Andrianakis moves out of range.
Andrianakis drops his hands momentarily and Costa takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Andrianakis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Costa tries to clinch but Andrianakis moves away
and Andrianakis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Andrianakis jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Costa closes the distance and pushes Andrianakis back into the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Andrianakis lands with a right to the head.
Andrianakis lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

It looks like Santiago Costa has been cut.
I was talking to Andrianakis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Andrianakis breaks from the clinch.
Andrianakis connects with a body shot.
Andrianakis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Costa at a distance.
Andrianakis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Andrianakis slaps away a takedown attempt from Costa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Costa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andrianakis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Andrianakis has managed to clinch.

Costa tries to work over Andrianakis's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Andrianakis.
Costa looks winded!
Andrianakis blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Andrianakis.
Costa tries to throw a body punch but Andrianakis avoids it by throwing Costa back against the cage.
Andrianakis blocks a body shot from Costa.
Andrianakis pushes Costa back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Andrianakis lands a shoulder strike.
Costa lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Andrianakis blocks an uppercut.
Costa tries to throw a body punch but Andrianakis avoids it by throwing Costa back against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Andrianakis.

Andrianakis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Andrianakis cracks Costa with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Costa looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Andrianakis finish him?

Costa is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Andrianakis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Costa is still on wobbly legs! Can Andrianakis finish him?
Andrianakis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Costa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Costa seems to have recovered his senses.
Andrianakis lands the left hand.
Andrianakis lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Costa up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Andrianakis from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Costa's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Milo Andrianakis!
An out of breath Milo Andrianakis thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
