A momentary lapse in concentration from Kanabe enables Kakuto to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kanabe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kanabe looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kakuto puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Kanabe is trying to control Kakuto's posture. Kakuto takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Kanabe! Kakuto is rotating here... this could be the end... Kanabe is out! Kakuto has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
