Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Furioto (ranked 1063 p4p, 972 weight class) and Trevor Barnes (ranked 145 p4p, 133 weight class). Furioto's entrance music is 韻踏合組合 - . A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furioto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
As Furioto backs off Barnes throws a huge counter combo but Furioto manages to avoid it all.
Furioto darts in looking for a takedown but Barnes gets double underhooks and turns Furioto into the cage.
Barnes is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Furioto postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barnes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Furioto, into his guard.

Furioto looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Barnes has picked Furioto up and slammed him! Furioto can't keep hold of the triangle and Barnes manages to pass to side control!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Furioto crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Barnes - the referee stops the clock and Furioto gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Barnes. Furioto manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Barnes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Horrible takedown attempt by Furioto or perhaps it was just good defense by Barnes, which made it look bad.
