Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leyte Gulf (ranked 448 p4p, 415 weight class) and Athos Knox (ranked 68 p4p, 63 weight class). Gulf comes into the arena with For Heavy Metal we will die! blaring out of the sound system. Knox has chosen Click Click Boom | Saliva as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leyte Gulf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 2, fighting out of London, Athos Knox!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gulf catches Knox with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gulf throws an overhand right that lands on Knox's shoulder, as Knox tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circling - Gulf throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Leyte Gulf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gulf throws a solid leg kick but Knox takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Gulf.
Knox rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gulf counters with a nice uppercut.
Gulf has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Heavy Metal in the buildup to the fight.
Gulf looks to land a right hand but Knox moved out of range.
Gulf scores with a crisp jab that stopped Knox in his tracks.
Gulf throws a leg kick
and Knox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Knox chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gulf can pounce on him.
A slow jab from Knox misses its intended target.
Gulf swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gulf throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A countering left hand to the body from Knox misses.
Gulf has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knox finds it's way round the side to connect with Gulf's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gulf uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Knox.
Knox ducks right into an uppercut from Gulf.
A head kick from Gulf lands but Knox takes it in his stride.
Knox takes one to the side of the head.
Nice defenses there by Gulf.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gulf lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Knox backs up against the cage.
Knox showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gulf.
Gulf has managed to clinch.
Knox pushes off an throws an elbow but Gulf leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Gulf breaks the clinch.
Gulf walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gulf drops his hands momentarily and Knox takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gulf misses with a looping left.
Knox throws a hook to the side of Gulf's head but Gulf sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Knox throws a body shot but no joy.
Knox misses with a straight right.
Gulf tries a head kick but it misses.
Gulf misses the jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed right hand from Gulf misses the target.
Gulf lands a head kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Knox, as that shot connected.
Gulf is rocked!
Knox knocks out Gulf with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Knox before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Knox picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Athos Knox!
