Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hooker (ranked 6903 p4p, 6624 weight class) and Brent Jackson (ranked 646 p4p, 629 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dan Hooker has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dan Hooker seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Hooker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brent Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hooker.
Jackson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hooker ducks under a wild hook from Jackson.
Jackson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hooker dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Hooker's head and hops out.
Jackson takes a swing at Hooker's ribcage but misses.
A cross from Jackson lands.
Hooker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Hooker ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Hooker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hooker drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Hooker is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson is trying to break the clinch but Hooker is controlling him.
Hooker is trying to drag Jackson to the mat but Jackson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jackson gets underhooks to prevent Hooker's takedown attempt.
Hooker throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hooker lands with a right to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hooker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jackson is pressed up against the cage. Hooker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jackson down to the mat. Jackson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Good work by Hooker as he checks the leg kick.
Jackson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Dan Hooker has been cut.
Jackson drops Hooker with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hooker looks back up at him and smiles so Jackson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Hooker is rocked!
Hooker is breathing heavily.
Jackson knocks out Hooker with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Jackson before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Jackson picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brent Jackson!
A relieved looking Brent Jackson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
