The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carlos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Carlos misses with a double jab.

Panda moves out of range as Carlos throws a body kick.

Carlos looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The fighters circling - Panda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

It seemed like Panda was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Panda wants to clinch up but Carlos keeps it at a distance.

We've been informed that Panda has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Panda feints a jab promting Carlos to slip. Panda then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carlos slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A nice combination there by Carlos.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Panda might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Carlos has got the better of the exchanges.
