Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Dannis I I (ranked 4938 p4p, 6567 weight class) and Cesar Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gangsta's Paradise. Marshall Dannis I I has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marshall Dannis I I!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cesar Perez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dannis I I gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Perez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dannis I I wants to get back to his feet but Perez passes into half guard.

Dannis I I wants to control but Perez is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Dannis I I wants to get back to full guard.

Perez decides to stand up.
Dannis I I scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Perez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Perez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dannis I I to the mat! Dannis I I manages to get full guard.

Perez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dannis I I isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Perez stacks Dannis I I on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Perez!

Perez in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Dannis I I is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
