Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dada Segbo (ranked 5670 p4p, 5428 weight class) and Seth Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockwell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Whiney (feat. Inja) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dada Segbo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Segbo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Segbo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Segbo is controlling the pace.
Segbo works his foot free and advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Segbo manages to capitalize on a mistake by Rockwell to take his back!
Rockwell is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Segbo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Segbo is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Segbo is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Rockwell has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Segbo has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Rockwell taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Segbo doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dada Segbo!
Dada Segbo tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
The defeated Seth Rockwell had this to say: 'I will hit the gym, get back to the drawing board and see what improvements can be made, you will see me again! '.
