PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Stefan Pantovic (ranked 4790 p4p, 3616 weight class) and Duannis Frank (ranked 535 p4p, 426 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Stefan Pantovic has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Stefan Pantovic seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pantovic avoids the head kick by Frank.
Pantovic misses with a hook.

Frank closes the distance and clinches.

Frank throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Frank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pantovic throws a hook to the side of Frank's head but Frank sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Frank clinches.
Frank looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Pantovic tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Frank misses with an elbow over the top.
Frank lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Pantovic lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Frank or not.
Frank can't find room to land a body shot as Pantovic controls the action.

Frank manages to break the clinch.
Pantovic throws a looping overhand right but Frank ducks down to avoid it.
Frank throws a fast counter high kick but Pantovic manages to duck under it in time.
Frank misses with a head kick.
Stefan Pantovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pantovic throws a jab when Frank was well out of range.

Pantovic rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Frank counters with a left and a right that stings Pantovic.
Frank slips a straight right by Pantovic.
Pantovic scores with a sloppy right hand. Frank should have avoided that one.

Frank throws out a head kick that Pantovic doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Pantovic crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Pantovic's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

It looks like Stefan Pantovic has been cut.

Frank throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Pantovic seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Pantovic throws a hook but Frank avoids it easily.

Pantovic's corner calls for a 1-2. Pantovic obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Duannis Frank has been cut.

Frank lands a head kick that bluckles Pantovic and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Frank no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Frank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pantovic throws a hook but Frank avoids it easily.
Pantovic throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Frank sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pantovic lands with a right hand.
Frank takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pantovic throws a poor cross that misses
and Frank counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Pantovic throws a shot from downtown. Frank moves away and avoids it.
Pantovic takes a kick to the side of the head.
A slow jab from Pantovic misses its intended target.

and Frank counters with a straight right hand.
Pantovic throws an off balance right hand
and Frank counters with a beautiful head kick that sends Pantovic crashing to the mat! Oh, he's out! He's out! Frank is jumping up and down like a maniac, spit streaming from his mouthpiece, shouting and screaming at his corner. Wow, this obviously means a hell of a lot to him! What an outpouring of emotion.

After winning the bout, Duannis Frank thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
