Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Francisco Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hernandez's half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hernandez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hernandez is trying to control but can't.
Coleman wants to pass to mount but Hernandez is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman lands with a punch from half guard.
Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Coleman prevents Hernandez from improving his position.
Coleman is nestled in close to Hernandez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hernandez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Coleman is working away from the top position though.

Coleman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hernandez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Coleman trying to control but Hernandez is working from the bottom.
Hernandez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Coleman chips away with some ground and pound.
Hernandez has his hands on Coleman's head, controlling the position.
Hernandez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coleman manages to get himself to full guard.

Hernandez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hernandez stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Coleman throws up his legs and catches Hernandez in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Hernandez tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Coleman! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Chad Coleman!
A very excited looking Chad Coleman rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
