Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 3999 p4p, 3308 weight class) and Tom Korppila (ranked 501 p4p, 428 weight class). Kron Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Korppila!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korppila fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gracie avoids it really well and circles away.
Gracie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gracie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Korppila.
Korppila shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Korppila was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
