The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Balboa thinking.
Rocky Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Balboa takes one on the button.

Balboa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA New York in the buildup to the fight.
Balboa throws a shot from downtown. Silva moves away and avoids it.

Silva throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Balboa stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Silva follows into mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
