Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jami Jarr (ranked 496 p4p, 1170 weight class) and Krisko Kurtev (ranked 70 p4p, 174 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jarr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wahhabi I. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtev tries to clinch but Jarr moves away
and Jarr counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kurtev darts in looking for a takedown but Jarr gets double underhooks and turns Kurtev into the cage.

Kurtev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jarr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jarr appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kurtev postures up in Jarr's guard and throws a big left but Jarr blocks it.

Kurtev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jarr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jarr drops Kurtev with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kurtev looks back up at him and smiles so Jarr waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Jarr takes a swing at Kurtev's ribcage but misses.

and Jarr counters with a nice right hand that sends Kurtev toppling to the canvas! Kurtev scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Jarr finish him?!

Kurtev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jarr's waist but Jarr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kurtev off to one side.
