PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Panek (ranked 5084 p4p, 4997 weight class) and Shiro Takizowa (ranked 563 p4p, 560 weight class). Panek comes to the cage accompanied by Sametova Revoluce. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panek fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takizowa manages to avoid it.
Takizowa appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Takizowa. Those never looked like landing.

Panek closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Panek lands in his opponent's guard.

Takizowa looking for a guillotine here but Panek defends easily.
Panek tries to free his leg and advance position but Takizowa is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Takizowa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Panek's guard.
Panek is looking to control Takizowa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Panek avoid being mounted?

Takizowa is looking for a kimura but Panek is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Takizowa to get the leverage.
Panek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Takizowa throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Panek is trying to maintain the position but Takizowa is very close to passing his half guard.

Takizowa is keen to just control but Panek is a slippery customer.

Panek has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Takizowa should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Panek has tightened it up now! Takizowa should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
