Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Van Darkholme (ranked 4142 p4p, 2530 weight class) and Kaoru Hanayama (ranked 475 p4p, 331 weight class). Hanayama comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Plan Three - Triggers kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kaoru Hanayama is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaoru Hanayama!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darkholme walks into a left hand.
Hanayama looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hanayama moves away from the strike by Darkholme.
Hanayama now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Darkholme pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kaoru Hanayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanayama misses with a left hand
and Hanayama takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hanayama swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hanayama misses with a lunging right hand
and Darkholme counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Darkholme misses the shot to the body.
Hanayama lands with a shot to the body.
Hanayama looks to score with a jab to the body but Darkholme is just out of range.
Hanayama cracks Darkholme with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Darkholme drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Darkholme moves out of range as Hanayama strikes.
Darkholme appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Darkholme looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hanayama doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Hanayama throws the left hand but Darkholme avoids the punch easily.
Darkholme takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hanayama swings for the body but Darkholme moves out of range.
Darkholme on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hanayama throws out a loose jab but Darkholme uses good head movement to avoid it.
Darkholme feints and then cracks Hanayama's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hanayama down.
Hanayama closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hanayama tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Darkholme knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hanayama on the ground.
Hanayama has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Hanayama has control of Darkholme's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Darkholme regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Darkholme bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Hanayama has control of Darkholme's left arm, preventing Darkholme from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darkholme tries to stand but Hanayama is controlling from the bottom.

Hanayama looking for a triangle here. Darkholme is fighting it but it looks tight! Hanayama pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Darkholme is tapping out - this one is all over!

Kaoru Hanayama tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
