Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dany Crosby (ranked 50 p4p, 121 weight class) and Ri Zaadha (ranked 8 p4p, 21 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zaadha's choice of entrance music: On A Roll. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 28 - 4, fighting out of Sydney, Dany Crosby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ri Zaadha!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crosby throws a shot to the body.
Ri Zaadha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crosby drops his hands momentarily and Zaadha takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Zaadha shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Crosby eats them both and turns towards Zaadha to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Zaadha paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Zaadha works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Crosby counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crosby crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Zaadha - the referee stops the clock and Crosby gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Zaadha. Crosby manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Zaadha does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Zaadha lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
