PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Tungsten (ranked 1138 p4p, 5537 weight class) and Yeriel Colon (ranked 16 p4p, 105 weight class). Tungsten comes into the arena with Cover of The Rolling Stone by Dr. Hook blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tungsten ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Colon fails with an attempt to clinch.
A counter left hand to the body from Tungsten misses its target.
Colon tries to clinch up.
Colon tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Tungsten counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Colon closes the distance looking to clinch
and Tungsten counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Colon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Colon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Colon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tungsten manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A jab from Tungsten finds it's way through Colon's defenses.

Tungsten drops Colon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Colon looks back up at him and smiles so Tungsten waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Yeriel Colon has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Colon closes the distance and clinches.
Tungsten tries to throw a body punch but Colon avoids it by throwing Tungsten back against the cage.
Colon slows down the pace here.

Tungsten breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Tungsten went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Tungsten cracks Colon with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Colon falls to his knees and Tungsten doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
