Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wallace Everett (ranked 3197 p4p, 23494 weight class) and Michail Rasnov (ranked 384 p4p, 583 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wallace Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michail Rasnov!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Everett moves into the clinch.
Rasnov looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Everett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Everett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No luck for Everett with that takedown attempt.

Rasnov gets tackled into the cage by Everett. Everett maintains the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rasnov fails to pull guard.

Everett manages to break the clinch.

Everett bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Rasnov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Everett decides to stand back up. Everett steps back and let's Rasnov get back to his feet.

Everett decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Rasnov shoots in looking for a takedown. Everett tries to sprawl out of it but Rasnov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Everett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rasnov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Everett circles away.
That kick from Everett tenderised Rasnov's leg. Rasnov is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Everett counters with a crisp one two that drops Rasnov! Everett thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rasnov to his feet! Rasnov is in big trouble!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Everett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Everett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Everett shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rasnov is trying to defend but Everett finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Everett stands up from Rasnov's guard - Everett perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rasnov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Everett as he avoids it easily.
Rasnov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Everett.

Rasnov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Everett fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Wallace Everett will probably get the nod.

Everett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rasnov's guard.

Rasnov has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Everett is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Rasnov goes for a takedown attempt but Everett pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Everett holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rasnov tries to pull guard but Everett holds him up against the cage and eventually Rasnov drops back down to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Everett has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Everett is looking to land body kicks.
As Everett backs off Rasnov throws a huge counter combo but Everett manages to avoid it all.
Everett throws a right and a left that both miss.

Everett slaps away a takedown attempt from Rasnov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rasnov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Everett fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rasnov to the ground. Everett is now in Rasnov's guard.
Everett would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Everett is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rasnov can do to turn this around?

Everett isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rasnov stacks Everett on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rasnov!

Everett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rasnov is working away from the top position though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Rasnov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Everett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rasnov somewhat.

Everett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Everett shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rasnov napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Everett goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rasnov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Everett but great work by Rasnov.

Everett is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rasnov has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Rasnov wants to stand but Everett has his arm trapped.
Rasnov lands a nice forearm strike.
Rasnov is looking to take a break and control but Everett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Everett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Everett tries to get out of the position.

A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Everett is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Rasnov!

A pretty intense looking Michail Rasnov took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
