Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Della Bella (ranked 3414 p4p, 4510 weight class) and Takaru Mamura (ranked 457 p4p, 548 weight class). Takaru Mamura will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamura fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Della Bella changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

and Della Bella decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mamura's guard.
Della Bella seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mamura is refusing to be controlled, as Della Bella sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Della Bella frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Della Bella is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mamura can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mamura has left one of his arms exposed and Della Bella doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Mamura screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
